Welcome!

Welcome to the Christopher Center Library's guide to Call Numbers.

Every book, CD, movie, and published material the library has is marked with a call number, to identify it. Call numbers are a letter-number combination identifying the shelf location of a library item. Classification numbers indicate a broader subject area. This guide will help you learn how to read call numbers, and making locating materials in the library easier.
