This Subject Guide offers you quick, guided access to recommended resources for Core students.

Click on a tab above to access a particular type of resource (articles or books) or for your Core Worker Paper Resources.

 

Off-Campus Access

You can gain off-campus access to the electronic resources (also called databases or journal collections) by clicking on the name of the database you’d like to access, and then logging in using your ValpoNet username (ex. jsmith1) and password.

If you have problems with this service, contact IT at 464-5678.

 

New to Using the Library?

Everyone is new to using the library at some point in any college career! Don't hesitate to ask questions of library staff--that's why we're here! You can also look over the "How Do I Find?" guides to see if they might answer your question. We've heard that the Basic Information about the Christopher Center guide is especially helpful!

Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan is a service which obtains, from other libraries, research materials that are not available in the University Libraries' collections.

If you have not done so already, register for interlibrary loan -- ILLiad

 

The Writing Center

Visit the Writing Center tab on this guide for important information about the Writing Center.  At the Writing Center (located on the first floor of the Christopher Center), you can get help with every aspect of your paper, from brainstorming and topic development to citation styles and bibliographies.  Writers of every ability are welcome!

For the Core Worker paper, the Writing Center has provided even more specific guidance on every aspect of your process.
